Prior to the decommissioning of the High Speed Rail Los Angeles to San Diego (LA-SD) segment in 2019, the K&A creative team was tapped to design the Connected Corridors Study (CCS), which was produced in partnership between the California High-Speed Rail Authority and regional planning and transportation agencies in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties. This document summarized the CCS, identifying opportunities to enhance Southern California’s regional transportation network from Los Angeles to San Diego via the Inland Empire through coordinated improvements in the rail network that will benefit existing intercity and future high-speed rail service.
